We have been making some tests on the samples you sent and have found one that suits our requirements. PZT-W16-112K.
Below is a description of the application and below are some questions around optimizing the disc for our application.

Description

We are developing a steam simulator for our model locomotives. So we plan to use one of your transducers to emit water vapor through the steam locomotive chimney, The size and input voltage of the PZT-W16-112K suits the size of the model locomotive.

Questions

We would like to optimize the number and size of the holes on the PZT-W16-112K. The aim of the would-be is to produce a denser mist that simulates fog/smoke rather than steam. Is this possible and would we be able to develop and purchase some samples? We would appreciate your advice on this.
Also, can you advise if the transducers suffer damage if the water runs dry?

We can make more mesh holes on the ultrasonic mist transducer, max. 1200 micro-holes, it may make mist denser.
