What is the lead content of the EU RoHS standard?
1. European Union:
76/769/EEC, 89/677/EEC: Prohibited to use
94/62/EC: <100ppm
ROHS: <1000ppm
2. ROHS exemption items:
Glass: such as fluorescent tubes etc.
Alloy: Lead content in steel alloy <0.35% (3500ppm);
Glass: such as fluorescent tubes etc.
Alloy: Lead content in steel alloy <0.35% (3500ppm);
Pb content in aluminum <0.4% (4000ppm);
Lead content in copper alloy <4% (40000ppm)
Solder: Lead in solder that melts at high temperature (that is, the lead content in tin-lead solder alloy exceeds 85%);
Lead in solders used in servers, storage, and storage systems (exemption granted until 2010)
Lead in solder in network infrastructure equipment used for switching, signal and transmission, and telecommunication network management;
Lead in electronic ceramic products such as piezoelectric ceramics.
3. ROHS exemption hearing items:
Optical glass and goggles can use lead and cadmium;
For microprocessor packages with more than two soldering ports and their pins, tin-lead solder with 85% of lead can be used, but the deadline is 2010;
Highly soluble lead-containing solders (such as tin-lead solder alloys with 85% lead) and any solders that require low-temperature soldering to complete the electrical connection.
