Tips
Precautions for installing and replacing the piezo ceramic ring:
Central bolts connect the key components of the ultrasonic vibration system, such as the transducer, horn, and tool head.
1. Make sure the contact surface is flat, smooth, and free of scars. If there are any scars, use metallographic sandpaper to carefully polish it above zero. The fault depression must be able to be ground flat without affecting the contact surface’s flatness.
2. Use a volatile non-corrosive detergent to clean screws, screw holes, and contact surfaces.
3. Clean screws, screw holes, and contact surfaces thoroughly.
4. The contact surface must be perpendicular to all connecting screw holes.
5. Apply a thin layer of silicone grease (or butter and Vaseline) to the contact surface before tightening. Apply silicone oil sparingly to the connecting screws and screw holes.
6. Carefully tighten the two parts together. Control the proper tightening torque based on the different connecting screw specs. Tighten things up a little if feasible.
7. There should be no scars if the joint surface is loosened again.
8. Feel the vibration system with your palm, making that it has a uniform amplitude, no unusual sounds, and no major local heating.
9. There should be no oxidation or ablation trace on the joint surface after working for a period of time; otherwise, the contact is poor and the ultrasonic energy is lost significantly.
